The NFC Board Prices Three Other 2-4 Clubs Above Philadelphia, and the Difference Is the Quarterback
The Eagles NFC Championship odds for 2026 place Philadelphia near the bottom of a 16-club conference field, and the market rests on who plays quarterback and how many points the offense can score, not on the 2-4 record alone. Three other NFC clubs are also 2-4 and priced above the Eagles, among them the Los Angeles Rams and the Dallas Cowboys. On October 19, 2026 Kalshi had Philadelphia at 1%, two points under Polymarket's 3%, level with the best price on New Orleans, which means the board puts last season's NFC East champion behind 11 clubs rather than near the top of the conference. The club plays its home games at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, and the NFC Championship Game is scheduled for January 31, 2027; the live board above has the current price.
Why the NFC Board Prices the Eagles Near the Bottom
The Eagles have scored 106 points in six games and allowed 137. They won their first two games, 24-22 over Washington and 24-20 at Tennessee, then lost four straight: 27-7 at Chicago, 24-20 at home to the Rams, 19-17 to Jacksonville in London and 25-14 at home to Carolina on October 18. A 2025 team that went 11-6 and won the NFC East has become, six weeks into 2026, a club that has scored 20 points or fewer in each of its four losses.
The quarterback is the reason the board does not treat that as a slump. ESPN's injury note dated October 15, 2026 reported movement in a small blood clot in Jalen Hurts's calf, and its injury report after the Carolina game lists him on injured reserve; Tanner McKee started that game and completed 26 of 45 passes for 215 yards. Hurts has thrown for 933 yards and eight touchdowns. What the price is saying is that a conference title run needs both a playoff place and a healthy starter, and on October 19 the Eagles had neither.
That is why the comparison with the other 2-4 clubs matters. The Rams beat the Eagles in Philadelphia on October 4, and Kalshi had Los Angeles at 13% on October 19, 2026, a point under Polymarket's 14%, far above the Eagles' 1% on Kalshi. Kalshi had Dallas at 4%, a point under Polymarket's 5%, with a 151-159 scoring line against Philadelphia's 106-137. The market treats the Rams and Cowboys as clubs whose offenses work and whose records lag, and the Eagles as a club whose record is an accurate reading.
The Clubs Ahead of the Eagles in the NFC Field
The top of the conference board is San Francisco's. Kalshi had the 49ers at 25% on October 19, 2026, a point under Polymarket's 26%, with the Rams at 13% and Seattle at 11%, and both venues had Chicago at 11%. Polymarket had Minnesota at 9% and Detroit at 6%, under Kalshi's 10% and 8%. That means three of the four highest-priced clubs in the conference play in the NFC West, and an Eagles path to January 31 likely runs through at least one of them.
The NFC standings point the same way. ESPN seeds San Francisco first at 6-0, after a 23-17 win over Washington on Monday night, October 19, and Minnesota second at 5-0, with Carolina third at 3-2 as the NFC South leader and the New York Giants fourth at 3-2-1 as the NFC East leader. The Eagles are eleventh. Seven clubs per conference make the playoffs and only the top seed skips the Wild Card Round, so an Eagles club that enters as a wild card needs two road wins to reach the conference title game and a third to win it.
Where the Eagles' NFC Route Runs Through the Division
The cleanest way back into the NFC field is the division. A division winner is assured a home playoff game, and the Eagles' only division game so far was a win. The Giants lead the NFC East at 3-2-1 after a 4-13 season in 2025, Dallas and Philadelphia are 2-4, and Washington is 1-4-1. Five of the Eagles' last eleven games are division games: Dallas at home on October 26, at Washington on November 1, the Giants at home on November 8, at Dallas on Thanksgiving, November 26, and at the Giants in Week 18. The NFC East market prices that route on its own.
Philadelphia also plays six of its eleven remaining games at home, after playing three of its first six away from Philadelphia, one of them in London. Those include Seattle on December 19 and the 4-2 Pittsburgh Steelers on November 22, the one game between Pennsylvania's two clubs this season.
Through October 19, 2026, Kalshi had matched about 12.9 million contracts on the NFC board and Polymarket had drawn about $6.48M, including about 919,000 contracts and $56K on the Eagles' contract.
The Case Against the NFC Championship Read
The strongest case against the read is that the injury is the whole story and the injury has an end date. A stay on injured reserve is a different season from an injury that ends one, and the price on October 19 reflects a club playing without its starter, a four-game losing streak, and a division whose leader went 4-13 last season and whose favorite is also 2-4. If Hurts returns and the Eagles take the division, they host a playoff game, and a home playoff club priced behind 11 others is the kind of gap the conference board closes quickly. The 2025 Eagles were the NFC's third seed, which is the standard the board has stopped pricing.
There is also a reading in which the Rams and Cowboys prices are the generous ones. Both are 2-4, and their places above Philadelphia rest on how those clubs are expected to play rather than on anything in the standings.
What Changes the Eagles NFC Championship Read
The read would be wrong if the Eagles lead the NFC East by the end of November, because the price rests on an absent quarterback and a missing playoff place, and both would then be answered. It would be confirmed if the Eagles are still below .500 after the November 22 game against Pittsburgh.
• Hurts's stay on injured reserve: the date he is cleared to return decides how much of the season the Eagles play without him.
• Dallas at home, October 26: a game against the division rival priced above the Eagles on this board.
• The Giants at home, November 8: the NFC East leader, before the Week 10 bye.
• Seattle at home, December 19, and at San Francisco, January 3: two direct tests against clubs priced in the conference's top three.
• Seeding on January 10, 2027: the regular season ends and only the top seed skips the Wild Card Round.
When the NFC Championship Market Resolves
The NFC Championship Game is scheduled for January 31, 2027, hosted by the higher remaining seed, and its winner settles the market. Kalshi's Philadelphia contract pays Yes if Philadelphia wins the Pro Football NFC Championship, with an expected expiration of February 8, 2027 and the league as its settlement source. Polymarket resolves to the team that wins the 2027 NFC championship game, moves a club to No once it is eliminated, and resolves to Other if the game is canceled, postponed past March 31, 2027 ET, or no winner is declared in that window.
