Last Year's Two Division Champions Sit Near the Bottom of Pennsylvania's Super Bowl Board
The Eagles and Steelers Super Bowl odds for 2026 put both of Pennsylvania's NFL clubs near the bottom of a 32-club board, and the market rests on what each has shown in six games rather than on last season's two division titles. Philadelphia won the NFC East at 11-6 in 2025 and Pittsburgh won the AFC North at 10-7, yet on October 19, 2026 Polymarket had the Steelers at 0.9% and the Eagles at 0.8%, the cheapest price either venue quoted for each club. Both play their home games in the state, the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, and the live board above has the current figure for every club.
How the Super Bowl Board Reads the Eagles
The Eagles are 2-4 and on a four-game losing streak: 27-7 at Chicago on September 28, 24-20 at home to the Los Angeles Rams on October 4, 19-17 to Jacksonville in London on October 11 and 25-14 at home to Carolina on October 18. They have scored 106 points and allowed 137. What the price is saying is that a club with that scoring line and its starting quarterback on injured reserve is not yet a contender, whatever it did a year ago.
The quarterback question is the sharpest part of the read. ESPN's injury note dated October 15, 2026 reported movement in a small blood clot in Jalen Hurts's calf, and its injury report after the Carolina game lists him on injured reserve, with Tanner McKee starting in his place. Hurts has 933 passing yards and eight touchdown passes in five games. A title price of 0.8% on Polymarket on October 19, 2026, against Kalshi's 1%, puts the Eagles behind nineteen clubs, Pittsburgh among them, which means the board is pricing the chance that Philadelphia finds its 2025 form and its starter at the same time.
ESPN's NFC seeding has the Eagles eleventh. Their division is not out of reach, because the New York Giants lead it at 3-2-1 and Philadelphia's only division game so far was a 24-22 win over Washington on September 13, but a title run from here would have to start with a playoff place the club does not hold.
How the Super Bowl Board Reads the Steelers
Pittsburgh's record is better and its price is only a shade higher. The Steelers are 4-2 with 137 points scored and 128 allowed, a margin of nine points across six games, and the board reads that margin ahead of the record. Polymarket had Pittsburgh at 0.9% on October 19, 2026 against Kalshi's 1%, which put eighteen clubs above the Steelers, among them the 2-4 Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys.
The detail behind the margin is lopsided. Pittsburgh lost 20-3 at New England on September 20 and 27-24 at Cleveland on October 1, beat Cincinnati 30-27 and Indianapolis 34-22 at home, opened with a 20-13 win over Atlanta and won 26-19 in overtime at Tampa Bay on October 18. Aaron Rodgers threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns at Tampa Bay and is not on ESPN's injury report. The market treats those as the numbers of a club in the AFC's second tier: ESPN seeds the Steelers seventh in the conference, the last of the seven playoff spots.
The price gap between the two Pennsylvania clubs is narrow: Kalshi had both at 1% on October 19, 2026, and Polymarket put the 4-2 Steelers a tenth of a point ahead of the 2-4 Eagles. The read for both is the same: neither club's 2026 results so far match the reputation it carried into September, and the title board has priced the results.
The Clubs the Super Bowl Board Prices Ahead
The front of the board is spread thin. On October 19, 2026 Kalshi had the San Francisco 49ers at 14%, a point under Polymarket's 15%; both venues had the Buffalo Bills at 12%, the Kansas City Chiefs at 11% and the Rams at 9%. Polymarket had Baltimore at 7%, a point under Kalshi, and Jacksonville at 6%, with Seattle at 6% on both. That means no club's best price reached one chance in seven, so the title is treated as open, and the Pennsylvania clubs are long shots in a field with no dominant favorite rather than clubs written off behind one.
Two of those leaders sit directly in the Pennsylvania clubs' path. Baltimore, level with Pittsburgh and Cleveland at 4-2 in the AFC North, plays the Steelers twice in the last four weeks of the season. San Francisco, 6-0 after beating Washington 23-17 on Monday night, October 19, and the NFC's top seed in ESPN's order, hosts the Eagles on January 3, 2027.
The Pennsylvania Game on November 22
The two clubs meet once, on November 22 at Lincoln Financial Field. They are in different conferences, so the game decides no tiebreaker between them, but it is the one date on the calendar where a result moves both Pennsylvania prices in opposite directions at once. It is Philadelphia's first game after its Week 10 bye and comes a week after Pittsburgh's Sunday night game at Cincinnati on November 15.
At most one of the two Pennsylvania contracts can pay Yes, and because the clubs play in different conferences they could, in principle, meet in Inglewood. The Eagles NFC Championship market and the Steelers AFC Championship market price that intermediate step for each club.
Through October 19, 2026, Kalshi had matched about 189.3 million contracts on this board and Polymarket had drawn about $68.5M, including about 6.39 million contracts and $1.89M on the Eagles' contract and about 4.42 million contracts and $1.61M on the Steelers', so both state prices sit on deep trading even at long odds.
The Case Against the Super Bowl Read
The strongest case against the read is that six games are a thin record and the board has already been wrong about the order once this season. The Rams, priced fourth, are 2-4, while the 5-0 Minnesota Vikings sat at 4% on Polymarket on October 19, 2026, against Kalshi's 5%; a market that keeps a .333 club near the top on reputation is not reading results as strictly as it reads them for Pennsylvania. On that view the Eagles' price reflects a quarterback injury and a four-game stretch against Chicago, the Rams, Jacksonville and Carolina, three of them clubs with winning records, and the 2025 division champion is being priced as if the injury were the whole season.
For Pittsburgh, the counterread is that the margin is a product of one game. Take away the 20-3 loss at New England and the Steelers have outscored opponents by 26 points in five games, and they hold a head-to-head win over Cincinnati, a club priced well above them on both venues. A single-elimination tournament also flattens the field: a seventh seed needs four wins, a first seed three, and nothing in the format rewards the regular season's prettiest margin.
What Changes the Super Bowl Read
The read would be wrong for Philadelphia if the Eagles win the October 26 and November 1 division games against Dallas and at Washington, because the price rests on the quarterback and the scoring line, and a winning run without Hurts would answer both. It would be wrong for Pittsburgh if the Steelers come out of their December 20 and Week 18 games against Baltimore with the division lead.
• Hurts's stay on injured reserve: the date he is cleared to return decides how long the Eagles are without their starter.
• Eagles division games, October 26 and November 1: Dallas at home and Washington away, the route back toward the top of the NFC East.
• Steelers at Cincinnati, November 15: a second meeting with the AFC North club the board prices above them.
• Pittsburgh at Philadelphia, November 22: the one game that moves both state prices at once.
• Baltimore, December 20 and Week 18: two games that likely decide whether Pittsburgh enters the playoffs as a division winner.
When the Super Bowl Market Resolves
Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and the winner settles the market. Kalshi pays Yes on the club that wins the 2027 Pro Football Championship, with an expected expiration of February 14, 2027 and ESPN, Fox Sports and the Associated Press as settlement sources. Polymarket resolves to the team that wins the 2027 NFL league championship, moves a club to No once it can no longer win, and resolves to Other if the game is canceled, postponed past March 31, 2027 ET, or no winner is declared in that window. A club eliminated in January is settled long before the game.
